A Sarcasm Font

Attached to the bottom of this article is the sarcasm font. It is a "true type font". This is a free fun font so if you have any suggestions or artwork that you feel would improve it please feel free to submit them via one of the contact forms.
- The font was Updated 17 Sept-2010 to fix some general legibility issues. We removed some artifacts and modified the character spacing.
- The font was Updated 11 Dec-2009 to include the percontation point after receiving suggestions to do so.
Even though the font is just a bit of fun and primarily designed to accent existing text (as displayed in the examples below) the latest update should make it more versitile allowing users to more easily read full sentences and parragraphs written using the font.
It is worth noting that the question mark is backwards. There are two reasons for this. Firstly it is from a very little used idea called the irony mark . It is supposed to denote that a tract of text has a secondary meaning or implies that irony or sarcasm is being used. Secondly it is also an old unused standard piece of punctuation from medieval times called the percontation point which was used to mark rhetorical questions.
Please Note
The font is free to use for non-commercial purposes and may be embedded within any website without express permission as long as the site contains at least one link back to www.notascoolasitseems.com You may also offer the font as a download if suitable attribution is displayed accompanying the download link.

Install it as normal
It is just like any other font, you just need to install it as you would a normal font and then, when using wordpad/word etc choose the font when typing.
If you want to insert a special character like the sheep the easiest way is to launch charactermap (in windows 7 type "char" in the start menu search box, it should pop up) or use the insert menu in Word.

Greg
If you want someone else to see it on thier PC they need to have the font installed, this is just like any other font.
Some documents support embedding fonts in the file so that everyone can see it. In web pages to ensure that it is displayed to all visitors, even those who don't have it installed, then you will need to embed the font in the page or site itself. There are tutorials on the web to do this.

embedding fonts
there is a CSS tag (@font) that allows you to embed any font into a webpage. You code the font just like you code an image. You upload the font to the website server and then the @font tag takes care of it. It's a bit tricky but worth it if you are going for a special look.
If you put the @font tag within the body of the page doc it will be the font for the entire page, but if you put it as a style in of itself as in a P tag or something similar, then you won't have it as a body font.

new font on web
Hi
I'm quite a beginner at this, but your comment seems closest to the help I need. I'm a blogger user, have found their CSS page not sure what to put there. How to "encode the font just like an image" and where does it need to be uploaded? Sorry the question is so sophomoric.
Thanks for any further hints.

I followed the installation instructions, but once installed, the sarcasm font just looks like any other sans font. Suggestions?
