HTC Touch Pro 2 is the clear winner better OS, better hardware more apps and more freedom.
I can do without the smug tax apple adds to its products

Not really it depends on what you will use it for and how.

Some people like me just like the design and ease of use that Apple offers.
Windows Mobile makes the Touch Pro a no go for me and I think the Pre is ugly.
We don't all need the same thing.

The iphone is way over hyped the specs here are ok and the UI is good. I would grab one if it didn't seem like Steve Jobs was personaly telling me what I am allowed to do with it. They restrict features easily implemented in software and then release them later as upgrades. Can the iphone send or receive files by bluetooth yet?

Most complaints have been fixed

In the new verson most of the feature complaints like cut'n paste have been fixed or added.

Bluetooth can pair with stereo headsets, and other devices. I don't think they have opened up the stack to allow file transfers though.

The hardware is starting to get very good

In a few years the idea of a mobile phone that only makes calls will start to become obsolete. We will be carrying the equivalent of a fully functional pc in our pockets. The specs of the above phones are all better than the computer I owned only a few years ago, cheaper too.

Thanks for the interesting

Thanks for the interesting review mate. It was really useful for me to see the comparison between those three giants of mobile marketplace. I think I would definitely stick with my old iPhone rather then buy one of those two another phones. Maybe I have to try Touch Pro because my friend told me that it is cool. Anyway thanks for the great review one more time. I will be looking forward to another great posts from you!

Sincerely,

Brad Pollington from iphone application development
