The console may temporarily show scrambled output if placed too close to the sub-whoofer/bass. Other symptoms are (in a few reported cases) the inability to turn on the speakers via remote or the console.
The solution is to move the console/controller away from the speakers, turn off and unplug the device completely. After a short period of time it should revert to its previous functionality.
