  • The evenly distributed but wide range of user review scores indicates that there is a possible issue with the consistency of build quality for this product.
  • Build quality. This is not a headset to store folded or in a laptop bag. The two most frequently reported build quality issues are the USB connection is not robust (many reports of it breaking apart) and the in-line controls ceasing to function. (If this has happened to you seek an RMA, Logitech is quite good about providing replacements)
  • The mic boom rotates easily and isn't intrusive, however it is not adjustable, you can not move it closer to your mouth. In some applications you may need to adjust the "mic audio boost" or "pickup" because of this.
  • It is ironic that the most submitted complaint for the "ClearChat Comfort USB Headset" is that it is not comfortable for many users. The headband is reported by some users as having a tight or uncomfortable fit for larger heads. Other users mention that their ears become sore or uncomfortable after after prolonged use.

Some notes to help owners

Once you plug the headphones in, some games and applications require that they be restarted so that they can detect the change of audio output device. (this is the operating system or application default behaviour in relation to USB audio.)

Some users have reported a buzz or hum, however this problem is most often your power source and is solved after switching to a grounded laptop adapter.

See the info box below for the link that describes how to setup USB Audio in Windows Vista and Windows 7 , check your settings.
