- Reports that battery power has diminished considerably from prior models.
- No buttons
- Proprietary headphones
- Controls are on the Apple headphones
- To control the volume or skip forward and backward in the playlist, you need Shuffle-compatible headphones — the kind with the volume and skip controls embedded in the wire
- Apple may be selling an adapter that will allow the use of 3rd party headphones as an extra.
- Won't work with iPod docks, speaker systems or other headphones
- Battery is not user replaceable

I upgraded only recently, about 2 months and it does seem to have a shorter battery life than my old one.
This doesn't work with my old dock either.
