Many user comments state they prefer the older G5 mouse over the G9 mouse.
On the underside of the mouse, the mouse glides are plastic pads, some users have stated these display excessive wear and collect grime, unlike teflon glides.
The G9x has a greater dpi : 3200 dpi max for the G9 up to 5000 dpi for the G9x. The G9x also has the teflon shoe (glides)
