Mobile and Smart Phones

Do not post issues associated with your carrier or service plans.

Please be aware that many issues reported are due to "Branding" and carrier software customisation. When purchasing a phone through a phone company or on a plan they often "lock" a phone and add or modify parts of a phones software. Many of these customisations are held in the phones extended rom which is not, (without modification) accesable to a user. These cusomisations are therefore not removeable without special software tools. That is why you cant delete sample wallpapers, audio files etc. It may also be why your phone runs slowly while your friends phone of the same model but on a differrent carrier seems to work much better.

  • Does the printer completely stop printing if only one ink is depleted? eg; one of the colours has run out but the printer refuses to function, even just printing black and white.
  • Is the ink refillable with generic ink, must you purchase a companies own ink stock? 
  • Incompatability with any operating system.

The hard thing about listing faults of wireless routers is that your performance can vary dramatically from someone elses.  Some factors which may effect your experience are;

  • your hardware
  • your software
  • spyware installed on your PC
  • configuration of your house
  • the materials your home is made of
  • your ISP
  • cordless phones and other electrical devices 

So if a fault listed here mentions poor range or signal we would have found a large number of people who reported it. We do however suggest you do futher research yourself.

  • Is the unit a rebrand of a previous model
  • Does it utilise all standard protocols
  • Missing network features
  • If voip does it have PSTN fallback
