Even a Lumix DMW-BCG10 does not work, the battery that came with the camera is DMW-BCG10PP- is it different enough?

The DMW-BCG10 comes in
2 points

The DMW-BCG10 comes in different versions (eg: DMW-BCG10E) some of which are "generic" 3rd party batteries and are not compatible.

The DMW-BCG10PP is an ID Secured Battery which is the new type of battery required.
It is available from Panasonic resellers or Panasonic direct from one of these 3 links. Compatability is also listed.

Unfortunately they have had trouble maintaining stock.

You may have some luck on Amazon, here is a link to the Amazon search results for the DMW-BCG10PP
Please ensure you check the compatability and that the item is genuine before purchase by reading other customer reviews and comments

Good luck.
