- Camera may become "unrecognized" by the PC and refuse to function. In such a case, if unplugging it and updating the drivers doesn't work you can try the following: go to Device Manager and delete the devices under "Universal Serial Bus controllers", let Windows rediscover and re-install the devices-restart Windows.
- Some users report a BSOD after install while configuring the cam via the wizard. Microsoft's knowledge base articles suggest the following: limit the USB bandwidth used, do this in the configuration by unchecking "Auto" and decreasing the through-put speed manually (3mbps should work
- Many non-specific complaints about the bloated and buggy software suite
- Pan, tilt, motion tracking and high resolution features are reliant on the software and not available or configurable without it.
- The "one touch" button is not configurable.
- Some users report a hum or hiss in the audio output.
- The box claims compatibility with windows xp and vista, both 32 and 64 bit, however at least one user notes that later version of the software from Microsoft claims not to be suitable for 64 bit XP machines.
