- The iPad uses new micro SIMs so you can't use your old iPhone SIM card.
- No Flash support
- No slot or support for SDcards
- No integrated video camera
- No HD video output
- No USB port (it does however charge via a power adapter or via the supplied "Dock Connector to USB" cable to charge the device through your computer systems USB port)
- Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)
- No native printer support, it doesn't currently support printing directly from the device (you need a third party application, often you need to print using a PC as an intermediary, it depends on your network and printer hardware)
- Some early adopters have reported intermittent network issues, WiFi connection loss or inability to connect.
Some tips other users have submitted to get their WiFi working or more stable
- Disable the security mode settings (not really a good idea though)
- If the iPad doesn't re-establish the WiFi connection after sleeping raise the screen brightness above the minimum setting. It sounds crazy but many people swear this works. This indicates it may be a fault with the power saving modes.
- Changing the HTTP Proxy setting from "Off" to "Auto"
- Reset the iPad networking
- Reset the iPad entirely and restore from iTunes
From Appple Support Knowledge Base
iPad: Does not automatically rejoin known Wi-Fi networks
Symptoms
Under certain conditions, iPad may not automatically rejoin a known Wi-Fi network after restart or waking from sleep. This can occur with some third-party Wi-Fi routers that are dual-band capable when:
- Using the same network name for each network
- Using different security settings for each network
Resolution
If you encounter this issue, try the following:
- Create separate Wi-Fi network names to identify each band. This can be done easily by appending one or more characters to the current network name.
- Example: Add a G to the 802.11b/g network name and an N to the 802.11n network name.
- Ensure that both networks use the same security type (WEP, WPA, WPA2, and so on)
- If the issue persists, reset your network settings using Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: Always ensure that your Wi-Fi router firmware is up to date.
